21 of 21 people found the following review helpful.I spent hours researching car seats before settling on this one. I was looking for a relatively lightweight and masculine car seat. An ideal car seat would also feature substantial padding to offer a comfortable ride and would be priced around a hundred dollars. Evenflo Embrace delivered.-Light-per product description this seat is only 4lbs (base excluded). It doesn't even feel that heavy. It's very easy to carry and transport.-Masculine-my husband would not stand for any suspect greys that appeared purple or cutesy polka dots. It doesn't matter much to me, but this car seat is all grey, green and squares and suitably topugh enough for our little boy.-Padding-the entire car seat is fully padded approximately a third to a half an inch. The head rest probably has a full inch worth padding, so I can be assured he is resting comfortably. This is the biggest difference I've seen in lower priced models. They sure skimp on the comfort.-Price-I got mine for under a hundred bucks.-Surprises- This car seat is user friendly. It is super easy to get on and off the base. One button adjusting to change positions. And the handle bar is also easy to adjust from handle to impromptu base for use as a seat outside the car. It fits on every stroller base I've tried. And, I was happy to discover it came fully assembled.So far no complaints whatsoever--I would recommend and gift.Update 3/18/13: When transporting my son in this seat, my mother accidently dropped it. To her horror it landed upside down. Due to the snug five point harness on this seat, he was securely held in place. He was not injured at all and just a little startled.
10 of 10 people found the following review helpful.I have to say this car seat is exactly what I wanted without having to pay a ton of money! There are many more expensive car seats that are not as nice as this one. It fit and made my newborn nice and snug and has the removable head support that seems comfortable. The shoulder strap height is very easy to adjust when they grow and I love being able to loosen and tighten the straps every time I use the seat. It also does not have that annoying buckle where you have to fit the two pieces together like so many have! My sister made the comment that is seemed light to carry compared to hers. It snaps in and comes out of the base so nicely and the base adjusts easily also. It is stylish and has a nice neutral color and most importantly seems to have good support so I feel my baby is safe. It does go up to 35lbs and my little boy is no where near there but I am sure we will use this car seat as long as possible. Amazon shipped this out fast and it came sooner than I expected.
8 of 10 people found the following review helpful.This car seat is awesome for many reasons 1st. Its looks and feels like a more expensive car seat. 2nd. It has good padding unlike ones for the same price which was my problem finding one and this is perfect. 3rd. Its light weight 4th. The head pillow fits my babies head really nice 5th. It holds up to 35lbs which Id never carry that much around but its nice to know the baby wont outgrow for a while. 6th. Its super easy to install and super easy to remove from the base. 7th. The canopy is fine at first I thought it was a little short but with some pulling and fixing its really fine same as any other car seat. If u dont ajust it then it will seem short. Trust me its fine I seen other reviews with this as a complaint but I dont see a problem with it. 8th. The base and car seat bottom is black not gray as pictured but it looks really nice 9th. The colors of the fabric looks like such an expensive car seat. You could use this for a boy or girl. Id rather have a safe car seat then a expensive looking THIS IS BOTH!
